Vacuum Forming Plastic: 0.040 thickness, 5" squares, 5 pack. Made in the USA. The ideal choice for cosmetic orthodontic retention and patient compliance. Composed of FDA compliant PETG (Polyethylene Terepthalate Glycol). The 0.040" thickness is ideal for wear resistance and longevity. Thinner materials tend to crack more readily. Thicker materials tend to create an open bite. Acrylic will bond to this material.

Instructions: 1) Trim the models in a horseshoe such that the palatal or lingual area is open. 2) Heat the plastic until the center droops to the lower clamping frame 3) Don't allow the plastic to droop any further. 4 ) Make sure the plastic fully adapts to the model. 5) Wait until the plastic fully cools before removing.

Note: Retainers, models, pliers, and vacuum forming machine are not included. Store material in a dry place. PETG is hygroscopic (tending to absorb moisture form the air). The solution is simple. Heat the material in a standard oven at LOW temperature.

Wire Reinforcing Bars: 5 Pack. Designed to make invisible aligners and retainers more stable and retentive. Made in the USA from 304V stainless steel, spring temper, 0.045" diameter round.
